The Trinitarian Saint Anne is a Christian artistic theme that features Saint Anne, her daughter Mary, and the child Jesus. Artists often represent Saint Anne as a mature woman of about sixty years old facing a Jesus of normal proportions. To mark the subordination of Mary to her mother, she is sometimes miniaturized to the point of being the same size as Jesus.
