Living beings were used as casts for the Sagrada Família

Many sculptures of the Sagrada Família were created from the direct casting of living models. This bold technique allowed for the immortalization of men as well as animals on the portals of the monument. The artists Cales Mani and Joan Matamala i Flotats figure among the main craftsmen of these complex works.
