The Sagrada Família survives only thanks to donations

The Sagrada Família is a famous basilica in Barcelona whose construction began in 1882. As the monument is an expiatory temple, its construction relies entirely on alms and voluntary donations. Since the 1990s, international fame and the influx of tourists have made it possible to improve the financial situation, attracting more than 4.8 million visitors in 2024.
