87 years of waiting for German apologies

The German government presented its official apologies for the atrocities committed in Dinant 87 years after the events. This memorial initiative was carried out by the Secretary of State for Defence, Walter Kolbow, on May 6, 2001. On this occasion, the German flag could be hoisted for the first time on the city bridge.
