A pet cockatoo refuses to breed

The red-tailed black cockatoo is a bird that can learn a few words and prove very affectionate once tamed. Males then undergo human imprinting and lose all interest in reproduction. In Australia, the species remains rare and specimens were traded at 1,750 Australian dollars at the end of the 1990s.
