The courtship display of the red-tailed black cockatoo ends with a bite

The red-tailed black cockatoo is a bird whose courtship display includes a very aggressive stage. To seduce his partner, the male hides his beak under his bristled cheeks and crest before performing a jump and fanning out his red tail. As a response, the female most often chooses to bite her suitor.
