The Ca' Morta funerary vase consisted of two interlocking parts

The stamnos and the basin discovered in the tomb of Ca' Morta actually constitute the two halves of a single object. This identical artisanal design allowed the two pieces to fit perfectly into one another. The ritual ablution vessel and the stamnoid lid originated respectively from Etruria and the North Italian tomb.
