Port Hope underwent numerous changes starting on July 8, 2016, to metamorphose into the town of Derry. The sets required the modification of several local storefronts as well as the erection of a Paul Bunyan statue in Memorial Park. Furthermore, all Canadian flags were removed from the municipality to be replaced by American flags.
