All the songs in La La Land were almost cut

The editing of the musical film La La Land required one year of work from director Damien Chazelle and editor Tom Cross. During this period, all the musical scenes of the feature film were proposed for deletion at least once. The initial three-minute opening was notably abandoned to avoid overloading the beginning of the film with too much music.
