Jane Fonda built an aerobics empire to fund politics

Jane Fonda marketed Jane Fonda's Workout, which was the first of a collection of 23 videos dedicated to fitness. This global project met with resounding success during the 1980s by selling 17 million copies. The money thus collected helped finance the political ambitions of her husband Tom Hayden, before their separation in 1989.
