An arranged marriage between seven-year-old children fails in Georgia

In 1672, Vakhtang V proposed to marry Manoutchar Dadiani and Daredjan Bagration to forge an alliance with Mingrelia. The two children involved were both 7 years old at the time. The project failed after a rumor claimed that the future groom was going to be sent as a hostage to Persia.
