Julian Alaphilippe is a professional cyclist who long refused to use power meters in races or during training. He then favored instinct, unlike the majority of his peers who are subject to numerical data. His position eventually evolved over time and he adopted this equipment to prepare for his events, as in March 2022 when his coach Franck Alaphilippe commented on his results.
