A nap leads to the role of Gaston Lagaffe

The actor Théo Fernandez landed the title role of Gaston Lagaffe after falling asleep while waiting for an audition for a film by Gérard Jugnot. The director Pierre-François Martin-Laval was looking for his lead actor on the floor above when he was informed of the presence of this sleeping young man. Having already filmed with his friend Jean-Paul Rouve, he immediately recognized the actor and hired him for the film released in April 2018.
