The first stage appearance of a bagad

The bagad is a Breton musical ensemble that was long confined to summer folk festival parades and competitions. Its stage evolution began in 1980 when the musician Alan Stivell integrated an entire group for the first time into his Symphonie celtique. This innovation paved the way for major tours and performances in prestigious venues such as the Olympia or Bercy.
