A serious miscalculation of armored forces

The Israeli Southern Command estimated it was facing 400 enemy tanks during the Umm Hashiba conference. The services then believed they had 640 armored vehicles to prevail against the Egyptian forces. In reality, 800 opposing tanks had already crossed the canal by Sunday evening.
