Fort Budapest resisted
Fort Budapest is an Israeli fortified position located on a narrow strip of land southeast of Port Fouad. Isolated by Egyptian troops during Operation Badr in 1973, it resisted multiple assaults thanks to the protection of the Israeli Air Force. This position thus remained the only one of the Bar-Lev Line not to fall into Egyptian hands.
