A museum rehabilitates the Cagots

The sculptor Xabier Santxotena created a museum in Spain to honor the memory of the Cagots. According to him, this rejected population descends from an ancient French guild of cathedral builders struck by exclusion for their heretical religious opinions. The Bozate site includes in particular the Casa Gorrienea, inaugurated in 2003, to present the daily life of these ancestors.
