Patrick Dewaere discovers his true parentage at seventeen

Patrick Dewaere is a French actor who learns in 1964 that he was deprived of his inheritance and his child actor fees well before he reached the age of majority. It is his brother Dominique who reveals to him at the age of seventeen that he is not the biological child of Pierre-Marie Bourdeaux. This discovery pushes him to cut ties with the "Maurin tribe" to take a step back from his career.
