An unexpected wind shift saved the church in 1795

The church of Sainte-Anne-du-Bocage nearly disappeared during a fire that ravaged several buildings on August 28, 1795. The flames spared the building thanks to a sudden change in wind direction at the last moment. Alexis Landry attributed this miracle to the keeping of a religious promise made by the community.
