A historic flood destroyed the bridges of Saint-Quentin

The commune of Saint-Quentin-sur-Indrois suffered a devastating flood of its river, the Indrois, in 1770. The water rose to the point of exceeding the local bridges by three feet, which it swept away and totally destroyed. The reconstruction works began the following year before being completed in 1810.
