Gargantua is the origin of a mound of earth

The relief of the commune of Saint-Quentin-sur-Indrois is attributed by a local tradition to the giant Gargantua. According to this legend, the character shook one of his boots after crossing the Champeigne, letting the earth that was stuck to it fall. This unusual deposit thus formed the mound of Saint-Quentin.
