A single water point for an entire village

The Le Bichet fountain is an old water point in Saint-Maurice-de-Beynost whose construction date bears the mention of March 13, 1779. It long provided the water supply for the commune on its own thanks to a spring from the Merloux. It was necessary to wait until the year 1845 for a second fountain to finally be installed near the cross of the commune.
