Ghost planes on a deserted island

The Saint-Kilda archipelago was completely abandoned during the Second World War, which did not prevent three planes from crashing there between 1942 and 1944. No examination of the Vickers Wellington bomber wreckage was undertaken before 1978, leaving doubt about its exact identity. A Royal Canadian Air Force badge suggested that it was the HX448 missing since September 28, 1942.
