A bar saved by municipal obligation in Rennes

The Saint-Germain station is a Rennes metro station whose construction site led to the destruction of a block of buildings. This block housed the bar Le Chat qui Pêche, considered a local institution of the neighborhood. The municipality required that the name be reused for the new building of ten social housing units built in its place, where a restaurant finally opened in March 2026.
