An engagement broken over clothing

Thomas Day ends his marriage plans after entrusting Sabrina Sidney to friends and noticing she had not followed his clothing instructions. Furious at this disobedience during the preparations, he immediately cancels the ceremony. He then places her in a boarding school in Birmingham while paying her an annual allowance of 50 pounds sterling.
