Paris owns the sources of the Seine

Paris owns the estate surrounding the sources of the Seine, even though this site is located at a distance of 231 km. This unusual territorial acquisition was carried out in 1864 by the Parisian municipality. This land now encompasses the various facilities protecting the source of the river that flows through the capital.
