Michael Jackson snubbed at the Grammy Awards despite global success

Michael Jackson releases his first album with Epic titled Off the Wall in 1979. The record becomes a huge global success with more than twenty million copies sold throughout the world. Despite these exceptional sales, the singer is only nominated in the best R&B male vocal performance category during the 1980 Grammy Awards ceremony.
