A family secret revealed twenty-five years later

Prince Laurent of Belgium revealed in September 2025 that he is the father of Clément Vandenkerckhove. This child was born in Ostend on August 16, 2000, from a relationship with the Flemish singer Wendy Van Wanten. This paternity was announced while the prince was not yet engaged to Claire Coombs.
