A journalist was fired for criticizing his own newspaper

Daniel Schneidermann was fired from Le Monde in October 2003 for a cause deemed real and serious. The management reproached him for a passage in his book Le Cauchemar médiatique considered damaging to the company. The journalist won his case at the Paris labor court in May 2005, and then on appeal in March 2007.
