The first French woman to perform a spacewalk in an American spacesuit

Sophie Adenot is the first French person and the second European woman to perform an extravehicular activity in space. She carries out this operation on August 18, 2026, with NASA astronaut Anil Menon to replace a communication antenna. She thus distinguishes herself from Samantha Cristoforetti, who had used a Russian Orlan spacesuit in July 2022.
