Apple Corps took advantage of the 1999 reissue of the Yellow Submarine Songtrack album to launch merchandise featuring the film's colors. Fans were thus able to buy figurines, t-shirts, bubble lamps, and even baseballs. George Harrison publicly disapproved of this initiative, believing that it turned the band members into mere toys for the whole world.
