A Pink Floyd album outperformed The Wall in the United Kingdom

The Final Cut is an album by the band Pink Floyd released in 1983 in the United Kingdom. It reached the number one spot in British sales directly, a feat that legendary albums like The Dark Side of the Moon or The Wall had not accomplished. It nevertheless subsequently proved to be the band's lowest seller since the year 1971.
