An asteroid is named Laurent Fignon

The asteroid (213770) Fignon was named in honor of the famous cyclist. This celestial body was discovered in 2003 by the astronomer Michel Ory. This tribute joins other posthumous commemorations such as streets and a sculpture offered by the newspaper L'Équipe.
