Rue de Castiglione replaced a former convent passage

Rue de Castiglione finds its origin in a former passage of the Feuillants convent. The widening of this thoroughfare led to the destruction of a classical portal built between 1676 and 1677. This portal was once the culmination of the perspective of the place Louis-le Grand in the 18th century.
