An improvised studio for a historical painting

The Feuillants convent is a former Parisian monastery founded in 1587 by King Henri III. Its nave was used as a studio by the painter Jacques-Louis David for the creation of his work The Tennis Court Oath. The buildings were finally razed at the beginning of the 19th century under the Consulate.
