Greeks eat one hundred times more feta than the rest of Europe

Feta is a cheese whose consumption in Europe is dominated by Greece. Greeks consumed 10.5 kg per person per year in 2002, compared to only 0.1 kg on average for the inhabitants of other community countries. Consumers in this country then represented 85.64% of buyers in the European community.
