Security represents a heavy budget for the Lorient festival

The Festival interceltique de Lorient is a major cultural gathering that mobilizes significant sums for the protection of participants. Faced with the terrorist threat, the 2018 edition thus allocated 500 000 € to security, which is more than eight percent of its total budget. This system required the intervention of more than 1 200 people, including notably police officers, firefighters, gendarmes and thirty soldiers from the army of Terre.
