A mouse saves bunnies from a bag of rotten vegetables

In The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies, some bunnies fall asleep on Mr. McGregor's rubbish heap after eating lettuce that had grown to seed with soporific properties. The owner captures them and locks them in a sack, before a mouse named Thomasine Tittlemouse comes to gnaw the fabric to set them free. To thank this savior, the rabbits offer her a large quantity of hair at Christmas with which she makes herself a complete coat.
