Faith Lehane is directly inspired by Elektra

Faith Lehane is a fictional character designed by the writers to embody the dark side of the Slayer. To develop this rebellious figure, Doug Petrie drew inspiration from the comic book character Elektra created by Frank Miller. He actually described Faith as a version evolving in a context that was both punker and more adolescent.
