The mysterious fall of the palace of Ebla

Ebla is an ancient kingdom whose royal palace was destroyed by fire in violence, shortly after the marriage of an Eblaite princess. Historians hesitate between the Akkadian sovereigns Sargon and Naram-Sîn or the hereditary enemy Mari to designate those responsible for this ruin. A second enigmatic destruction subsequently ravaged the site, the authors of which still remain undetermined.
