A Minister of Justice is indicted for the first time

Éric Dupond-Moretti is the first sitting Minister of Justice in the history of France to be indicted. This decision occurred in July 2021 by the Court of Justice of the Republic due to suspicions of illegal conflict of interest. This event shook the States General of Justice launched in June 2021 by Emmanuel Macron.
