A 54,000 euro resignation for Emmanuel Macron

Emmanuel Macron had to pay 54,000 euros to the State when leaving the Inspection des finances. As a former student of the ENA, he owed ten years of public service but only completed six, as his ministerial period was not counted in this total. He thus ended his career as an inspector in 2016 after twelve years spent in this state body.
