A transfer forced at a high price and through a strike

Florian Thauvin is a French footballer who skipped training to force his departure from LOSC Lille in 2013. He thus accepted to lose 1,500 euros per day in order to obtain his transfer to Olympique de Marseille in the final hours of the transfer window. His initial contract with Lille had nevertheless been signed on January 29, 2013 for an amount of 3.5 million euros, accompanied by an immediate loan to Bastia.
