Ministers vacationed at the home of a drug trafficker

Sébastien Lecornu and Gérald Darmanin rented a villa belonging to Gilbert Casanova for their vacation in August 2017. The owner of the premises was then the former president of the Ajaccio Chamber of Commerce and had been convicted of international drug trafficking. Having filed a defamation lawsuit following the revelations by Mediapart, the two ministers lost their case.
