A record-breaking solar eclipse in 2027

The solar eclipse of August 2, 2027 will reach an exceptional peak of totality of 6 minutes and 27 seconds. This maximal phenomenon will occur at Al Dawamaria, a locality situated northeast of Edfu in Egypt. The path of totality will measure 277 kilometers in width there, also touching major sites such as Luxor.
