High school students resisted as early as 1941 in Bourg-en-Bresse

The students of the Lycée Lalande in Bourg-en-Bresse united as early as 1941 to oppose the Vichy Regime. This initial core of six people expanded rapidly by distributing leaflets and clandestine newspapers. The organization eventually counted up to thirty members by the end of the year, spreading to communes such as Pont-de-Vaux, Nantua and Oyonnax.
