Horned puffin chicks eat whole fish

The horned puffin is a seabird whose chicks feed exclusively on whole fish. Unlike many other bird species, the parents do not practice regurgitation to feed their offspring. Adults thus bring sand lance or capelin two to six times a day to their young.
