A fake ancient theater discovered thanks to geology

Aerial photographs taken in the early 1980s suggested the presence of an ancient theater northwest of the Verdes site. This hypothesis was finally abandoned after analyses showed that the ground depression was of geological origin. Recent scientific publications therefore no longer mention this ghost monument.
