A 15th-century tapestry identified at the Met

The Judith taking Holoferne's head tapestry is kept at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Its composition corresponds precisely to the description of a door curtain appearing in the inventory of the House of Este. This textile piece was manufactured in the Burgundian Netherlands around 1455-1465.
