A domain split in two for television

Pemberley, the residence of Mr Darcy in the Pride and Prejudice miniseries, was recreated by combining two distinct sites. The exteriors were filmed at Lyme Park while the interiors came from Sudbury Hall. This filming method allowed for bypassing the inconsistency between the actual layout of the mansions and the needs of the production.
